- The product costs a one-time fee of 49 francs. Those who purchase it via PostFinance receive a complimentary review by a certified professional, valued at 89 francs.
- "The software from iqtax provides an efficient solution that makes everyday life easier," says Ron Schneider, Head of Customer Experience at PostFinance.

Filing your tax return is a tedious annual chore, often involving a great deal of manual effort. The AI platform TaxOptimizer is here to help. Depending on the complexity, it cuts the time needed to prepare a tax return down to 5 to 20 minutes. PostFinance is launching this product in collaboration with iqtax as part of a pilot project for taxpayers in the Canton of Zurich.

No more manual data entry

While you still need to gather your own documents, once they are uploaded and some basic information is entered, the tax return is generated automatically. The tedious task of typing numbers into the correct fields is completely eliminated. Instead, users simply need to review and confirm the captured data. The tax return can then be submitted directly to the Zurich cantonal tax office.

This offer is a time-limited and location-specific pilot project, currently available to taxpayers in the Canton of Zurich until the end of 2026. The software costs a one-time fee of 49 francs. The contract is between the taxpayer and iqtax. PostFinance acts as an intermediary, promoting the new offer through its channels. Anyone who makes the purchase via PostFinance by the end of the year will receive a complimentary review by a certified professional, valued at 89 francs.

Making everyday life easier

"Filing a tax return is an important part of every citizen's financial obligations. However, it shouldn't be a burden," says Ron Schneider, Head of Customer Experience at PostFinance.
"With iqtax software, we have an efficient solution that makes everyday life easier."

PostFinance deliberately chose to partner with an existing product rather than developing an offering from scratch.

"In doing so, we are also contributing to strengthening Switzerland as a hub for startups."
"We didn't want to just put a prettier interface on an old form; we wanted to eliminate the need to fill it out as much as possible," says Arbnor Jashari, CEO of iqtax.
"The fact that PostFinance is now making our platform accessible to a wide audience is a milestone – and it's only the beginning. Our goal is a fully smart tax return for all of Switzerland."
